Launch of New Accreditation Area on Piling Works under Product Certification Scheme
The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) is pleased to expand our accreditation scheme for Product Certification to include Specialist Builder for Piling Works Certification in the building and construction sector, with effect from 27 April 2023.
The new accreditation area which provides assurance on the certifications carried out by competent Certification Bodies (CBs), will be recognised by the Building Construction Authority (BCA) for their respective regimes. The new area also aims to raise the competency and professionalism of specialist builders under the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Builders Licensing Framework.
Interested applicants will be assessed based on ISO/IEC 17065 and the following SAC documents, under the accreditation scheme for Product Certification body:
• SAC CT 31- SAC Criteria for Product Certification Bodies (Piling Works)
• SAC CT 32- SAC Criteria for Specialist Builders (Piling Works)
